Member Comments: Mr Moses a very nice fellow and a hard and steady worker. The final job looks great, and so much better than the old tile.
We had originally scheduled for a Thursday, but he was able to start a day early, and was done before the weekend.
Some things to consider if you have similar work done: Kin does not haul debris away from the demolition of the old tile, so you'll need to make other arrangements. We ended up using a Bagster from Waste Management. For us it was about another $100.
We had an issue with the valve on the toilet and I had to call a plumber. But that was a good thing because it gave me a chance to go out and purchase new bathtub fixtures and have them installed while the old tile was off the wall. This worked out 'cause Kin was able to be cutting wallboard while the plumber did his thing.
Now every time I take a shower I feel like I've gone on vacation and using their fancy bathroom even though I haven't left the room.

Company Response: Customer wanted to do his shower's demolition himself because of the condition of his shower. Customer's shower is much bigger than the tub shower on the coupon for free demolition. His shower is cement walls and concrete shower floor - standard shower.
There is small fee for demolition and disposal of cement walls and concrete floor system of standard shower because it's bigger than the tub shower, demand much more heavy labor, can take more than 10 hours to complete, and commercial truck willl pay up to $100 fee to dispose it at the land fill.
Customer received a low estimate for doing the demolition and disposal of the old shower. I offered to help him do the demolition and disposal when ever he's ready, but he told me that he will like to take his time to do it so that the shower floor will not collapse because of the rooted woods underneath
Customer's shower was extended both the width and height (3 feets x 7 feets - 3 feets x 7 feets - 3 feet x 7 feet, these were the original size for the estimate, and later extended to 3.7 feets width x height to the shower ceiling - 3.7 feets width x height to the ceiling - 3 feet width x height to the ceiling) AT NO COST TO HIM, worth at least $315
I did the demolition in the front of the shower that customer did not complete, I helped the customer to install some missing shower ceiling sheet rock, I helped his brother brought in a heavy china cabinet from the street into his bedroom - ALL FOR FREE OF CHARGE
Customer and his wife expressed how much they like the new shower upon completion, and paid the extra amount from the coupon. Customer was informed to call if they have any questions, or concerns. but he never called.
Few days after the completion of his job, the customer sent me an e-mail asking if he can get some money back for disposing his old shower. I did offer to help him demolish and disposal the old shower and he keep telling me that he will take care of it, but now he wants me to pay him for disposing the old tiles after I gave him discounts, and other free services he received from me.
Customer spent about $1,700, on a same standard size shower that cost at least $2,600. I have let the customer know that I will come back to make it right for him, if there is any part of installation that he did not like.

Continual clean-up and troubleshooting when we had a problem with the tile obstructing a door.
Member Comments: When Lowes told us they would install our floor at a cost of $1300, but would not demolish the floor we had then, we checked Angie's List and found Ken Moses. Ken arrived within an hour of our call and gave us an estimate lower than Lowes' estimate that included demolition of the floor! We were thrilled with the bargain and even more thrilled when Mr. Moses completed our floor and it was more beautiful than we had even envisioned.
Ken Moses arrived on time every day, and called/emailed/texted to keep us informed and give us plenty of notice of scheduling and progress.
This man, who is not only a skilled craftsman (he is an engineer!) but an intelligent, extremely pleasant, and considerate person, moved our refrigerator though it really was our job to do so, even though he had to remove the doors to do so and they were a hassle. The floor, the first layer of which was installed about 1960, gave him a huge hassle and took literally all day to demolish.
The tile I wanted needed to be ordered (I really should have ordered it before I called him but I didn't know) and took far too long, but Mr. Moses was patient and kindly managed to fit us in as soon as the tile arrived. I work at home and cannot stress how considerate this man is. The floor was laid in two days, and his placement of the tile and application of the grout was artful. If I had placed them myself I would not like the pattern any better than the one he devised.
Mr. Moses would not accept a penny from us until the job is done, though it stretched out over a couple of months, and we did offer. When there was a problem with one of the pocket doors catching on the tile, he arrived within one hour of our call and immediately addressed and solved the problem with no additional charges.
Trusting Affordable Tile By Moses with your project will be the best decision you have made in a while. We cannot say enough good things about Ken Moses and plan to ask him to undertake all of our home improvement projects.

We are so satisfied, in fact, that we are considering doing a tile backsplash behind our new sink and counters, since we now have such a terrific "tile guy"! He is nothing but polite and professional, he was always on time, neat, and cleaned up after all the work was done.
The quality of the work is impeccable - we just keep getting compliments on our new tile floor! His pricing was very reasonable, and he was so accommodating with regard to scheduling and doing a larger area than was originally included in the big deal. His materials were all contractor-grade, and he explained what the results would look like so that we could preemptively plan how to manage the transition from the tile to the adjoining room's floor.
